Mnemic are not and never will be a band that is easy to categorize within the confines of heavy metal. But their innovation and hard work have created fans and praise from bands like the Deftones, Machine Head & Fear Factory, all of whom later brought the band as support on tours. Most recently, Metallica have seen this potential and taken them on tour in Europe, with bassist Robert Trujillo stating "I go through these real technical phases, and I listen to bands like Meshuggah and Mnemic. It's stuff that's a little bit complex and takes a lot of patience." Their newest output shows a reinvigorated band that understands its roots and embraces growth. Sons of the System is a groove-laden modern metal masterpiece with a progressive edge and a newly born feeling for melody that will prove to be just as infectious as their fans expect!
