      The Viking metal band VARG (meaning "wolf" in both Swedish and Norwegian) was formed in early 2005 and with the release of their brand-new album "Blutaar" can be proud of the latest achievement in their glorious 5-year history. Producer Andy Classen (Belphegor, Legion of the Damned, Die Apokalyptischen Reiter) has given "Blutaar" a double-edged sound: like warm soft fur but with a wolf's fangs and claws. It is not for the faint of heart nor for those subscribing to a more polished and artificial sound. This latest opus is bloodthirsty and capable of killing with one bite. The wolves are back!
